Here’s what’s trending over at P&P…

  1. Reading outside - The weather has been beautiful here in the Northeast. I’m so happy to be back in my hammock with a good book. This week I am finishing up Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus. I have to be honest - it was one of those books that I started and stopped, started and stopped. So while it wasn’t a frantic page turner, I will say it was an interesting story line (set in the 1960’s) highlighting sexism in the workplace. The main character, Elizabeth Zott, is a brilliant chemist who is ahead of her time, advocating for equality. Apple TV has bought the rights to create the book into a series - another reason I had to finish it!

In addition to a good fiction book, I try to take 5 minutes of every day to read something that inspires me. A Little God Time For Mothers was a gift from my mom and I read it year after year. The short daily readings offer a calming perspective on the sometimes chaotic moments of motherhood and provide lots of opportunities to feel gratitude.💕

  2. Dermaplaning - I was so afraid for so long to try this, fearful that my facial hair would grow back quicker, longer and darker. SO happy to report that none of this happened! I have natural peach fuzz and when I remove it, my sunscreen and moisturizer sink in better and my makeup just looks so much better! This is the system I use: Michael Todd Beauty Sonicsmooth Dermaplaning Tool. It comes with 10 replacement razors, a stand, a charger and before/after care products. I’m hooked!

  3. Getting organized! My good friend Cathleen over at The Neat Life set me up for success with these refrigerator bins. I use them for all different foods and beverages and it helps the kids know where stuff is (AND where it’s supposed to go!) Check out these multiuse bins, these smaller ones for cheese sticks and such and these for drinks!
